“I had in my professional life two great partnerships
The first one with my wife and partner Cristina.
A endurance partnership of  nearly 30 years.
And still going...

And other with the great Brazilian trainer Joao Maciel
During six  consecutive years I sent horses to Joao Maciel
and together we had fun, success and a lot of Group winners as
Much Better, Indian Hope, Little Baby Bear, Cara Regina, Alcatraz Singer
Indian Blossom, Padrao Global, Wild Emotions, China Express, etc.
His early death was a great lost for the Brazilian Thoroughbred market.

Michael Tanner wrote in 1987 a wonderful book  - GREAT RACING
PARTNERSHIPS In this book he stated that the combination of a great
jockey and a top class produces He believes, a winning partnership with
more than a touch of romance about it. I truly believe Mr. Tanner is right.
But I also believe the combination of Breeders/Owners and Trainers,
Trainers and Jockeys, Stallions and broodmares are ingredients that a
champion needs to flourish.”
